Almost 6 thousand products now bear the 20-year-old Hungarian Product trademark
The trademark system has developed cooperation with more than 250 domestic enterprises over 20 years, and today almost 6 thousand products and services bear the Magyar Termék trademark – Magyar Termék Nonprofit Kft. announced to MTI on Thursday.
According to their representative survey conducted last summer, Hungarian consumers trust domestic products, 90 percent of consumers know the Magyar Termék Nonprofit Kft. trademark, and almost 75 percent buy it regularly.
This means an annual revenue of 4,700 billion forints and more than 48 thousand employees ensures its livelihood, so in 20 years it has created a community that helps both producers and buyers

They also highlighted the importance of a conscious consumer attitude, which, according to the statement, must be developed in childhood. The Hungarian product is increasingly appearing in schools as part of the digital curriculum, since shopping is both an economic and social decision. The company also supports the market presence of its member companies, and as part of this, they will soon start a campaign with the Milk Product Council to support the dairy industry.
According to the summary published on the organization’s video sharing site, Magyar Termék was established in 2006 by a collaboration of 13 companies. Today, the trademark is synonymous with controlled, reliable origin, represents value and serves as a compass when shopping. Choosing Hungarian products indicates responsibility, which is of particular importance in the midst of difficult market conditions – said Managing Director Eszter Benedek in the video.
