A master’s degree in marketing can already be completed in English at BGN
From September 2023, a practice-focused master’s degree in marketing, which can be completed in English in up to one year, will be launched at the Faculty of Trade of the Budapest University of Economics (BGE KKK).

It is headed by Dr. Árpád Papp-Váry, vice president of the Hungarian Marketing Association, who joined the BGE team in the fall semester. At the BGE Faculty of Foreign Trade, the content of the practice-focused master’s degree in marketing, which can be completed in as little as one year, is constantly renewed, and from September 2023 it will be available in English. During the course, which provides up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge, students can work on live company assignments and present their ideas to clients.
The head of the department is Dr. Árpád Papp-Váry, who has been working in higher education for almost two decades, is the vice president of the Hungarian Marketing Association, and is an active branding consultant. “BGE has always been famous for its excellent marketing communication training, which can be traced back for many decades, the foundations of which were laid by legendary specialists, who are still teaching at the institution. It was an honor to join them last fall,” said Dr. Árpád Papp-Váry, head of the master’s program.
He added:
“BGE’s bachelor’s degree in commerce and marketing is currently the market leader in the country. I would like to achieve a similar result in the marketing master’s field as well. I am confident that we will be able to increase the number of our students in the future, and many will choose our English-language training. I consider it important to highlight that professionals with many years of experience working in the field of marketing can complete this master’s degree in one year instead of the usual two years, taking into account their previously completed subjects and work experience.”
