Web stores already fit in our pockets, and we take advantage of that
The role of smartphones is becoming more and more prominent in online shopping every year – among other things, this was revealed by Reacty Digital’s comprehensive annual e-commerce survey, which examines attitudes and habits related to online shopping among the Hungarian population aged 18-79. With the help of translation programs and global logistics, barriers are disappearing more and more, so even though the majority prefer web stores in Hungarian, the importance of Far Eastern marketplaces is also increasing, primarily thanks to cheap products.
Clothing continues to be the most popular online, the category has been at the top of the list for years, two fifths (42%) of online customers ordered a product from this category in the past year. Health-related products also keep their place on the top list, which this year included DIY and garden products, toys and gifts, as well as household and chemical goods. Three out of ten of these categories were ordered online in the previous year. The small and large household appliances category, which has been in the forefront for a long time, was left out of the TOP5 after a continuous decline in recent years, but a quarter of the clinics still chose this category (also).
