92 percent of the corn is in the granaries
The harvesting works are approaching to the end in Zala county. More than 90 percent of the corn produced on 40 thousand hectares have already been transported to the granaries.
Süle Katalin,the president of the Zala county National Agricultural Chamber told MTI on Tuesday that due to the drought less corn has grown this year than in recent years. The average yield is 6 tons per hectare, while in previous years it was an average of 6.5-7 tons – she added. The quality of corn is average. (MTI)
