With just 4 donation coupons, we can cover the daily meals of a needy child
Every year, the Ecumenical Aid Organization helps 3,000 disadvantaged children catch up nationally with regular development sessions within the framework of its Kapaszkodó program. One of the important financial sources of the initiative is HUF 250 donation coupons sold in Tesco stores, with the purchase of just four coupons, a needy child can be fed for one day. This year, between May 13 and June 16, customers can support the charity by purchasing coupons available at the cash registers of the supermarket chain. The amount collected can thus help the development and summer camp of thousands of underprivileged domestic children, such as Erika’s twin son and daughter, who have only recently been able to form a family again due to difficulties arising from their living conditions.
In the framework of the Kapaszkodó child development program of the Ecumenical Aid Organization, it deals regularly with a total of more than 3,000 children living in difficult circumstances throughout the country. Without the organization’s support, these children would not be able to start life with the same opportunities as their peers, and they would not be able to access the necessary tools and training for learning and developmental activities outside of school.
Among them are Erika’s children, of whom the first-born twin boys were previously placed in foster care, and were later reunited with their mother only in the temporary home of one of the families operated by the Aid Organization. Erika came here from the hospital with her newborn daughter, Hanna, after she became a victim of a sexual crime. Today, the five-year-old boys attend classes regularly, and their sister, Hanna, participates in the baby tournament that ensures early development at the institution, where the children found friends and their mother found support.
