According to a recent forecast by Manpower for Q3 2024, Hungarian employers are increasingly optimistic about hiring, with 37% planning to expand their workforce, up 6 percentage points from the previous quarter.
This trend is especially pronounced in the Alföld regions and Budapest. However, 23% of employers anticipate workforce reductions, leading to a Net Employment Outlook of +14%, marking a slight increase over the past year. Employment growth is expected to vary significantly by region and sector, with notable increases in consumer goods and services, healthcare, energy, and logistics. Despite the optimism, there are variations in expectations based on region and sector, with certain areas and smaller enterprises showing more cautious outlooks.
