Farmers will soon receive the coordination letters related to the unified application, in which they will inform beneficiaries about the possibilities for corrections, after which the payment schedule may be accelerated; corrections can be made without penalties until September 30 – the Hungarian State Treasury (MÁK) told MTI on Tuesday.

According to the announcement, this year, around 155 thousand unified applications were received by the Hungarian State Treasury, which immediately began checking the applications received after the submission deadline. Thanks to this, the electronic delivery of the attention-grabbing and coordination letters resulting from administrative checks will begin in the coming weeks. It was highlighted that the purpose of the coordination letters is, among other things, to clarify the situation with the involvement of the beneficiaries, and to speed up the administrative control processes necessary for the payment of the requested subsidies – without conducting additional on-site inspections. In the attention letters, the treasury informs the beneficiaries of the repair options available to them, after the completion of which the payment schedule can be accelerated and the unpaid subsidy amount can be reduced. They pointed out that repairs can be made without sanctions until September 30, 2025 on the electronic interface designed for this purpose.

It is important that the repairs are made as soon as possible

In order for the beneficiaries to take advantage of the repair option as widely as possible, the treasury is also launching a telephone campaign with the county government offices and the National Chamber of Agriculture – MÁK announced in its statement. It was announced that, according to the decree of the Ministry of Agriculture, it is possible to apply for support and fulfill the related data provision obligation for 49 direct support and rural development measures within the framework of the single application. In addition to direct supports affecting a significant number of producers (for example: basic income support, Agro-ecological program), applications could be submitted for related national supports (transitional national suckler cow support), rural development (forestry and animal welfare) measures, and CAP Strategic Plan interventions (agri-environmental management, animal welfare and conservation of animal genetic resources). The vast majority of these applications were submitted by the beneficiaries with the help of the staff of the National Chamber of Agriculture – the treasury’s announcement reads.
