Food is cheaper in Hungary

Eurostat has published its 2019 analysis of prices of consumer goods and services. Based on this, Hungary offered its products cheaper than the EU average, according to the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK).

According to an analysis by Eurostat, in 2019 the price level of consumer goods and services differed greatly between the 27 Member States, the NAK wrote. The analysis is based on points, the EU average is one hundred points. On this basis, the highest price levels were found in Denmark, where they measured 141% of the European Union average, as well as 134% in Ireland, 131% in Luxembourg, 127% in Finland and 121% in Sweden.
