Hungary has the worst inflation rate in the EU
In March, a 1.4 percent inflation occured in the euro area on an annual basis. The monthly inflation rate was 0.9 percent in the whole EU. Annual inflation was 1.9 percent and the monthly was 0.7 percent.
In Hungary, the Eurostat estimates that consumer prices rose by 5.7 percent in March, compared with a year earlier. After Hungary, Romania is the second, with an annual inflation of 4.2 percent, following by Greece with 3.9 percent on the third place.
Consumer prices decreased in 3 countries. The consumer prices decreased in Latvia, by 4.0 percent, in Ireland by 2.4 percent and in Lithuania by 0.4 percent, compared to last March – reports Privátbankár.
