Hungary is planning to ban plastic bags as well
It is expected that at the end of September, the draft law will be published, from which the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) expects a significant reduction in the sales of plastic bags; the ministry plans to ban the marketing of plastic bags in the long run.
Significant tightening is planned from 2019 to displace plastic bags and disposable plastic tools – the the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) informed MTI on Sunday.
According to the announcement, more than 80 plastic bags per capita per year are used in Hungary, most of them become waste immediately after use. (MTI)
