Hungary’s GMO-free status will soon be guaranteed by law
Hungary’s GMO-free status will soon be guaranteed by law within a few weeks – the Minister of Agriculture announced at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.
Fazekas Sándor told that he submits an amendment to to the National Assembly in order to adopt the law that will provide complete ban on GMOs under the EU Directive.
He added that from now each Member State of the EU can form their own GMO laws. It represents a victory for the Hungarian position in the EU. (MTI)
