Hungary is on podium in the Chaine Youth Chef World Championship
METRO as a key partner supported the Chaine Youth Chef World Championship. This year Hungary hosted the event. The location of the international competition showcasing young chef talents was the Metro Gastro Academy. The young chefs compiled their menu bars from unique ingredients provided by METRO.
The Chaine Des Rotisseurs Headquartered in Paris, is the world's oldest, largest and most prestigious gastronomic association that is committed to the high level gastronomy.
The Chaine Des Rotisseurs organizes eorld championships to help the young chef talents to develop. The chefs participating in the world championships are under 27, but have years of excellence, are awarded several times – in some cases they work in Michelin starred restaurants, while the jury consists of selected international renowned culinary professionals.
According to the international jury the World Cup winner is Michael CHRISTIANSEN (Canada)
Second Place: Laura VIROLAINEN (Finland)
Third Place: MEDE Ádám (Hungary).
Special award for kitchen work: Patrick KUHN (Germany).
