Hungary will receive 2.9 billion HUF extra agricultural support from the EU
Outstanding Hungarian agricultural diplomatic success was born at the council meeting of the agricultural ministers in Luxembourg on Tuesday. Hungary will be given 2.9 billion HUF extra agricultural support from the EU for crisis management – Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture told MTI by phone after the decision born.
According to Fazekas Sándor, it is a major help for the dairy farmers and for the pig sector.
He recalled that the EU allocated a 500 million euros worth support package, of which 420 million euros were given to the Member States, due to price decreases in milk production, the Russian embargo and the damage caused by the drought. (MTI)
