Hungarian milk may ease Serbian milk deficit
Serbia plans to import a monthly 5-7 million liters of milk to ease Serbian milk deficit.
Among the suppliers, the Hungarian dairy industry can also get an order.
In September, 57 million liters of milk was produced in Serbia, 18 percent less than in January. In the first nine months of the year, the quantity of milk was 20 percent less, than in the same period last of year. The missing volume is about ten million liters per month.
Slobodan Milosevljevic, trade minister stressed that the measure is temporary, and they would ease the temporary milk deficit, with importing 5-7 million liters – reports Origo.
