Hungarian expert among the finalists of the European Marketer of the Year 2025
The finalists of the EMC European Marketer of the Year 2025 competition, which brings together European marketing associations, have been announced. Zsófia Bánhegyi, Commercial Director of Szerencsejáték Zrt., has also been shortlisted for the prestigious award, the winner of which will be announced at the MII gala in Dublin on May 22.
The European Marketing Confederation (EMC), which brings together European marketing associations, of which the Hungarian Marketing Confederation is a member, has announced this year’s finalists for the European Marketer of the Year. This year, eight nationally recognized professionals have been shortlisted for the prestigious award, including Zsófia Bánhegyi, Commercial Director of Szerencsejáték Zrt., who represents Hungary in the competition.
The European Marketer of the Year award is organized by EMC every year and aims to recognize the professional with the greatest marketing impact in Europe. For the nomination, each participating country first nominates its own national champion, and then EMC selects the best from among them with the help of a professional jury. The final winner will be announced on May 22, 2025, at the MII Award gala in Dublin.
Zsófia Bánhegyi commented on her entry into the finals as follows:
“It is an honor to represent Hungary in the finals of the European Marketer Award in 2025. I really enjoyed the multi-level Hungarian and English selection process over the past months, where I was given the opportunity to present the joint results of my personal work and the domestic marketing profession. The theme of the award also proves that the power of marketing has perhaps never been so strong in creating business and social value, but in addition to supporting economic goals, a responsible approach plays an increasingly important role in the work of every marketer.”
In addition to Zsófia Bánhegyi, the finalists include international marketing leaders such as Saskia von Moos (Switzerland, Intelligentfood Schweiz AG), Helena Gouveia (Sweden, IKEA Sweden), Günter Thumser (Austria, ÖAMTC), Ąžuolas Zubkonis (Lithuania, Swedbank), Brenda Smith (Netherlands, AS Watson Group), Giuseppe Fiordispina (Germany, SEAT Deutschland GmbH) and Rafael Fernández de Alarcón (Spain, Telefónica S.A.).
