Magyar Levente: Transylvania has gained another “gem in the hotel industry”
Transylvania has grown with another comfortable, practical “gem in the hotel industry” that meets all needs – stated the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on Tuesday in Marosvásárhely, at the opening ceremony of the Hampton by Hilton Hotel, which was co-financed by the Hungarian government.
The Parliamentary State Secretary and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said that one of the branches of the large-scale economic development program launched seven years ago was the support of investments aimed at attracting high-quality tourism and business traffic. As part of this, the Hilton investment in Marosvásárhely was realized, in parallel with eight other prominent hotel projects in Székelyföld.
Magyar Levente pointed out: in the economic development program, the Hungarian government has so far supported Transylvanian entrepreneurs or Hungarian entrepreneurs making investments in Transylvania with almost 150 billion forints, thus contributing to the creation of an economic value of 800 million euros.
“Factories were built, factories were built, hotels were built, guesthouses were built, small farmers were able to increase their tools. The program covered a very wide range, from the acquisition of tools for small farmers to the Hilton hotel, we are at the top of this, our development is hardly of a higher standard, which gives us a greater reason for pride yes, in this segment”
– he told.
