The Hungarian agricultural company Agrosentinels Kft. has won a prestigious international award at the Agritechnica 2025 trade fair in Hanover. The company’s innovative diagnostic development won third place out of 41 international entrants in a tight competition at the startup competition organized by RootCamp.

Agritechnica is the world’s largest agricultural machinery exhibition, which gathers the most important players in the sector in Germany every two years. One of the highlights of this year’s event was the innovation competition organized by the renowned RootCamp accelerator, which attracted promising technology companies from all over the world. A total of 41 startups participated in the competition, which had to convince the professional audience and the jury of the market viability and novelty of their development in an extremely fast-paced, two-minute “pitch” (short business presentation).

The Hungarian Agrosentinels Kft. entered the competition with its own innovative bearing diagnostic system

The significance of the solution is that it can predict the failure of agricultural machinery bearings, thus avoiding forced shutdowns involving heavy costs during critical working periods – such as during harvesting. The company was represented at the competition by Zoltán Erdei, Technical Director, who successfully overcame the obstacles in the strong international field with his presentation. Based on the votes of the audience and the profession, Agrosentinels was finally able to stand on the third step of the podium, winning the 1,000 euro cash prize and the accompanying international professional attention. “It is a great honor for us that our technology was evaluated in such a high-level, global field. During the competition, we had to demonstrate not only diagnostic accuracy, but also the real economic benefit it provides to farmers. This third place confirms that digital solutions and predictive maintenance play a key role in the precision agriculture of the future,” said Zoltán Erdei, Technical Director of Agrosentinels Kft. after the award ceremony. The result achieved in Hannover may give the Hungarian company further impetus to enter the international market and to widely disseminate the technology.
