Hungarian HR leader wins one of Europe’s most prestigious diversity awards
Zsófia Komáromi, Chief Talent Officer of Publicis Groupe Hungary and Talent Transformation Partner of Publicis Groupe CEE, was awarded the 2024 HR Diversity Champion of the Year category at the European Diversity Awards. One of the most prestigious European DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) awards (of which Publicis Groupe Hungary was a finalist in the corporate “Company of the Year” category), it is confirmation that a commitment to diversity and inclusion creates significant business value in addition to social responsibility.
Zsófia Komáromi’s European Diversity Awards (EDA) is one of the most prestigious DEI awards in Europe, honoring outstanding leaders, companies and initiatives in the field of diversity since 2010. The award, which was presented in London in early November, has become the continent’s leading event, and year after year it focuses attention on solutions that make a real, measurable difference in promoting equality and inclusion.
In recent years, Publicis Groupe Hungary, led by Zsófia Komáromi, has launched several pioneering initiatives to strengthen an inclusive corporate culture. Under Zsófia’s leadership, programs such as the “Working with Cancer” initiative, which provides support to employees and their families struggling with serious illnesses, and the Menopause and Menstruation Program, which focuses on the specific needs of female employees, were launched in Hungary. In addition, the company has participated in several projects supporting the LGBT community (for example, it supported the Family campaign on a pro bono basis and is a permanent active participant in Pride), is a partner of the We Are Open organization, and has established a so-called ERG, a diversity employee team, to support grassroots initiatives. As a result of this work – in which the entire 10-person HR organization as well as the entire company plays a huge role – representatives from nearly 30 countries and 4 generations work in the Budapest office, and Publicis Groupe Hungary is one of the most diversified companies in the industry in terms of the proportion of female senior managers (55%).
