In Eatern Austria, Lackenhof am Ötscher was once a popular sport center. But since the 1990s, it was slipping down. Today, fun dominates the small town again, not least thanks to foreign investors.
Among the 15 hotels of the town 11 is already owned by foreigners. According to the Austrian ORF television channel seven hotels are owned by Hungarian investors and three belong to Russians.
Lackenhof not far from Vienna, and there is always enough snow. The ski area is not so big, but for a two or three days holiday it is appropriate and it can be extended.
