Hungarian wines in Hong Kong

Hungarian wines will take part on the Hong Kong wine fair in November. The Hungarian wines will have a separate stand, organized by ITD Hungary and the Hungarian Wine Marketing Kht.

The sweet wines of Tokaj, the domestic red wines and Hungarian culinary specialties attracted the attention of Hong Kong businessmen the most. A three day businessmen meeting was organised by ITD Hungary, ITD Hungary, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Exporter's Association of Hong Kong. With the guidance of the Hungarian Wine Marketing Kht. the guest visited Hungary's most important wine-producing areas. After import duties on foreign wine were terminated, demands for wines in Asia are growing. Hungary exported 50 percent more wine in 2008 than in the previous year. On 27 May 2009 the two countries  signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the promotion of domestic wines in Hong Kong – reports Napi Online.
