Hungarian-Azeri business forum
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán opened the Hungarian-Azeri business forum on 11 November in Budapest. He told that the energy sector would be a key area of cooperation between the two countries. Azeri president Ilham Aliyev informed that many Hungarian companies would participate in development projects in Azerbaijan, e.g. in building the USD 45-billion Southern Gas Corridor. Other possible fields of cooperation include agriculture, water management and information technology. The president also told that Azerbaijan is making efforts to become less dependent on its oil and gas export.
