The CEO – Chairman of the Szabolcs-COOP Zrt. was given a Gold Cross of Merit of Hungary
On behalf of Hungarian President Áder János, Varga Mihály the Minister of National Economy handed over the Gold Cross of Merit of Hungary to Béni Mihály, CEO and Chairman of the Szabolcs-COOP Zrt., on the occasion of the State Founder King Saint Stephen's Day on 20 August,as a recognition for his work in the transition and development of the Hungarian trade.
Béni Mihály works in the consumer co-operative system since 1971. He became the finance and accounting department leader of the Nyíregyháza és Vidéke ÁFÉSZ in the late 70's, then he became the president of the cooperative in 1990. In 1999 he founded a business organization, the Nyír-Tasak Csomagoló és Csomagolástechnikai Kft. Later he founded the Szabolcs-COOP Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Részvénytársaság together with the Balkány és Vidéke Áfész. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Szabolcs-COOP Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Részvénytársaság since 1 January 2000.
