Magazine: High-level youth competition
This May Hungary’s Chaine Association organised the national selection for the Jeunes Chefs Rotisseurs Competition 2017 at the Metro Gastro Academy. Cooks younger than 27 years were competing: their task was to create a 3-course menu for 4 people. The line-up was of really high quality as participants represented Chaine member restaurants such as Arany Kaviár, Budapest Bistro, Corinthia, Gundel, Kistücsök, Olimpia, Onyx, Vadrózsa and BGE.
Alexandra Pereszlényi from Gundel won the competition, Ádám Pohner from Kistücsök finished second and Zoltán Debreceni from Onyx came in third.
The winner will represent Hungary at the world championship in Frankfurt. László Jakabffy was one of the jury members and he told our magazine that if the winner trains a lot until September and the ingredients will suit her style, she will have a good chance for performing well at the world championship.
