2017 – Az új lehetőség!Magazine: 2017 – The new opportunity!
It is interesting to monitor the changes in the labour market. It seems to me that job security is still a very important factor, especially if there is only one person who works in the family and there are children to take care of. However, there are situations when one doesn’t decide to look for a new job but are forced to do so. Today when companies are bought and sold, very often positions change or are deleted. These trends are characteristic of both the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017.
In January I received many phone calls from people who are looking for new opportunities. When looking at a CV, it is always very important for me that the job applicant has the right professional history. What is perhaps even more important in my view is that they are familiar with the corporate culture of the recruiting company and they comply with their requirements. It is also crucial to analyse whether the applicant and the future boss will have the necessary chemistry between them.
When an applicant is called in for an interview, their most important task is to prepare well. It is key that one shouldn’t try to be different in an interview situation than they actually are. Style plays a key role during an interview, though. A firm handshake, making eye contact, simple sentences and avoiding certain words can all help to make a good impression. When being interviewed in a foreign language, the first 5 sentences must be perfect, after that it is enough to understand the questions and give simple answers.
2017 can be the year of new opportunities for everyone – both those who decide to stay at their job and those who would like to change their workplace. Most of the time it depends on us how we feel at a certain place. Think about where you are at the moment in your work and your private life, and define where you want to get. If you have done this, all you need to do is act to get what you want for yourself. /
