Magazine: Hungarian whisky and whiskey sales
In Hungary 58.3 million litres of spirit was sold in 2014, and 6.3 percent of this (3.65 million litres) were whisky and whiskey. Without including pálinka, this ratio was 10 percent. In this year whisky and whiskey consumption increased by 18 percent (please note that for certain reasons 2014 had been an especially strong year – experts say that it is very likely that 2015 was 10-20 percent worse). Between 2010 and 2014 the average growth was 5.7 percent a year. (Data: International Wines and Spirits Record, 2015).
