Magazine: Growing quality grapes
István Bai, head of viticulture and oenology at Pajzos-Megyer Winery is responsible for the quality of the company’s wines. The best experts work with him – who are motivated as well. Mr Bai believes that good wines can only be made from quality grapes, so they create the best conditions for the vines. They keep biodiversity in mind during production and have stopped using certain types of chemicals. Grapes for Pajzos wines are grown in a different type of soil in Bodrogolaszi than Megyer wines in Sárospatak.
