Magazine: Study trip done the MVI way – Part 2
Between 8 and 10 October the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) and Coninvest Kft. organised their 3rd study trip, this time to Austria. Still on the first day the next stop was the Austrian affiliate of Cologne-seated non-food catering giant Bilfinger Profimiet, who rent out catering equipment to catering companies. In Bilfinger Profimiet’s 1,600m² warehouse we saw cutlery, kitchenware, kitchen equipment and furniture up to 4-storey height. The company has 12 premises in 9 cities of 3 countries, employing 250 people. They regularly serve major sporting events such as the football World Cup and the European Championship or Formula 1 races. The group ended the long day with a pleasant dinner, but only after they had visited the Seppelbauer estate nearby Asmstetten! At this family farm wine, fruit distillates and sheep milk cheese are made in the highest quality. (To be continued)
