Magazine: It is a pleasure
This year János Garaczi, the owner of Tanyacsárda in Lajosmizse was one of the Gundel Károly Award winners. Mr Garaczi told our magazine that he feels more like a cook than a restaurant owner. The trade still gives him great pleasure every day – in 2008, he enrolled at a gastronomy course of the prestigious Ecole Lenotre in Paris! These days he works more in restaurant management and administration. He prefers cooking to teaching, despite the fact that he knows how to teach and was happy to educate the young generation. All in all, he is more motivated by guests congratulating him. Still, he thinks that cooks have better opportunities today, they can realise their plans more easily – if they have any.
