Hungarian Food Book (Codex Alimentarius) vs. Hungarian entrepreneurs: certain confectioneries and food delivery companies have reacted to classic Hungarian cakes being protected by law (they can only be made using the original recipe) by renaming them – this is how Rigó Jancsi becomes Rigó Slice, so that they don’t have to use the high-quality ingredients required by law and can sell these cakes cheaper.
