Magazine: Money travelling at the speed of light
Online banking services are now present in the life of every enterprise. Tamás Győr, head of the corporate business development directorate at Erste Bank told that they plan to expand e-signature’s area of use in the next few years. Erste Bank does its best to make the use of the latest technological solutions available to customers. Corporate customers can use the Electra and Netbank services to manage their finances online. Erste Bank also offers a mobile banking service for corporate customers – the bank’s experience is that customers like to use this for getting information about their bank account and the latest transactions. Safety is fully guaranteed in Erste Bank’s Netbank service. In the last few years the number of customers who use the bank’s online banking service increased significantly, while in the same period the number of paper-format transactions reduced.
In connection with the e-signature, K&H Bank’s experts told our magazine that the Hungarian law differentiates between three types: simple e-signature, enhanced-security e-signatures and certified e-signature. Hungarian banks are expected to go in the direction of adopting the third type. About online banking services, the bank’s experts told that K&H’s corporate customers can use the Electra system. K&H supports business management systems with the importing of money transfer requests and the exporting of extracts. The bank’s web Electra service is more and more popular: this makes it possible for customers to manage their bank accounts not only in K&H Bank, but also in the banks of the KBC group and in other banks as well. Customers need to be aware of the fact that the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) end date regulation enters into force on 1 November 2016 – SEPA’s goal is to harmonise the payments market across Europe by using common procedures and standards for payments.
According to Balázs Szabó, the head of CIB Bank’s SME business line, corporate customers like to profit from the opportunities offered by online banking services. It is very important for them that they can get the latest information on their finances in no time and manage their finances quickly and comfortably online. It is more and more important for corporate customers to have business management systems and online banking systems which are compatible with each other. CIB Bank even developed a new, innovative mobile app for corporate customers. The bank’s experience is that the bigger and more active a company is, the greater the demand it shows for using various banking services online. It is good news for CIB Bank’s customers that it will expand its SEPA transfer-related services and simplify its fee system. Thanks to these changes, the bank will accept SEPA transfer requests in standard SEPA XML format, and same-day SEPA payment and urgent payment system TARGET will be available to customers.
Budapest Bank’s experts told us that the majority of their customers are using basic online banking services, those to which they get comfortable access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What customers want from online banking services is to be simple and safe. Budapest Bank’s experience is that Hungarian enterprises like online banking services. About 80 percent of the bank’s medium-sized and large corporate customers use the Budapest Bank Business Terminal service, which offers more functions than the Internetbank service. Small business partners prefer the Internetbank service, which makes them possible to manage their finances online any time of the day.
Mátyás Csákay, the head of MagNet Bank’s IT department highlighted the fact that customers make maximum use of the NetBank service. The number of online transactions is growing each year and less and less paper-format transactions are initiated. Customers try to manage their finances online and visit their bank as few times as possible. They can get real real-time information about their account and customers can manage affairs on more accounts at the same time. MagNet Bank’s online platform isn’t only user-friendly but has a responsive design as well, which means that it is easy to use on any device. It is needless to say that the safety of service is one of the top priorities. Mr Csákay opines that the Hungarian data protection regulation is among the strictest in Europe. At the moment the bank doesn’t use e-signature yet, but they think it definitely represents the future.
