Magazine: Franchise format becoming more popular in Hungary
András Tóth, the president of the Hungarian Franchise Association (MFSZ) talked to our magazine before their 2016 Award Ceremony and Gala Dinner. He told that there was growing interest in franchises in the last 2 years. More and more entrepreneurs choose this format but the president mentioned a problem too: some of the networks that apply the term to themselves aren’t actually operated as a franchise.
MFSZ’s presidency is always elected for a 3-year period and the current one is acting until May 2017. In the last 2 years the number of MFSZ members grew by 20 percent, at the moment the association has 60 members. One of MFSZ’s main goals is to protect the ethics of franchise. The association’s members meet every other month, with the secretariat preparing the material for discussing various topics and the president acting as a coordinator.
MFSZ represents members’ interests, popularises the franchise format in both society and in the political sphere. The association makes it possible for members to share the latest news about them on the MFSZ website, in its newsletter and in other ways too.
