Magazin: Ice cream in the glass
Carte d’Or sets out to establish a new category in Hungary: ice cream based cocktails. Tamás Sonkoly, brand manager of Unilever talked to our magazine about this exciting summer project. – Ice cream is about delicious refreshment and having fun, this is how the idea of Carte d’Or ice cream cocktails came about. We picked Zwack to be our partner and in our cooperation we focus on cafés, bars and clubs where both Zwack and Carte d’Or products can be found. Each cocktail is unique, with its own character and harmonic taste. Ice cream doesn’t dominate but is a distinct, important component in the full experience. We prepare with 8 cocktails for the summer and each of them will be available in alcohol-free version as well. We consider this summer a test period and if our plans work out as expected Carte d’Or ice cream cocktails will return next summer. Bartender András Ódor used Carte d’Or ice creams like they were spices or fruits.
