Magazine: HUNGEXPO Zrt. CEO Gábor Ganczer: ‘Continuous growth’
HUNGEXPO’s realist-optimist CEO Gábor Ganczer expects growth from the next year. He told our magazine that 2015 was one HUNGEXPO Zrt.’s best years. A record number of visitors came to their more than 20 trade shows (AGROmashEXPO, FeHoVa, etc.), where more exhibitors showcased their products and services than ever before. In addition to these, HUNGEXPO also hosted the National Agriculture and Food Exhibition (OMÉK) and the ITU Telecom World ’15 conference and trade fair. Despite the forecasted slowdown of the Hungarian economy, for 2016 Mr Ganczer expects slow growth in both the number of visitors and exhibitors. HUNGEXPO and its French parent company GL Events are dedicated supporters of the gastronomy and gastro-tourism sectors. As part of B2C trade fair FeHoVa, the company will organise (in cooperation with the Hungarian Bocuse d’Or Academy) the Hungarian final of the Bocuse d’Or chef competition. The Travel Exhibition will focus on domestic gastro-tourism. It is needless to say that the most anticipated event of 2016 will be SIRHA Budapest, which will also host – for the first time ever in Eastern Europe – the European final of Bocuse d’Or. It is great news that after a 4-year hiatus the Budapest International Fair (BNV), Hungary’s oldest and most prestigious trade exhibition, returns in 2016. The event will be organised between 29 September and 2 October, following a new concept and with a new image, focusing on the themes home and lifestyle. (x)
