István Gálicz, is the chef of the Metro Gastro Academy. He told us that finger food is used much more widely than 1-2 years ago. One of the reasons behind this trend is that more equipment is available for making them than before. The growing popularity of street food and fine dining has also influenced the finger food segment. It is important that by serving finger food it is easier to satisfy the needs of different target groups. Finger food isn’t only popular at various events, but also in more sophisticated beer and wine bars. What is more, the number of Italian- and Spanish-style tapas bars is increasing in Hungary.
