Magazine: The store of the future at SIRHA Budapest (Part 3)
Secondary displaying and island displays are of key importance in the stores of both the present and the future. An excellent example of this the Wanzl Possibility display. This modular system is available with a wide range of design options, can be filled in a variety of ways and any kind of digital accessory such as monitors, TV screens, touchscreens, webcams or game consoles can be mounted on them. In the Future Store Soós Pasta products were placed on the innovative Possibility display. The wide range of Soós products’ presence was backed by Soós Pasta commercials constantly displayed on the mounted screen, communicating various messages such as the company’s products winning the Hungarian Grand Prize several times or being awarded the Quality Food from Hungary certification. Heineken and Gösser beers in can and the new flavoured Soproni beers were presented by Heineken Hungária in state-of-the-art, energy saving green-lit refrigerators. The gem of the cosmetics section was Dove’s decorative lasting white display with lights, which is capable of holding the full product assortment. Visitors simply loved Dove’s new pistachio-magnolia shower cream and body lotion. On Libero’s display we could see the new diapers featuring a wetness indicator and Libero baby cosmetics. Above the display various baby and mom products were hanging: customers can get these using the points collected via the Libero Club programme. Zewa introduced its latest innovation with all of its toilet paper products: AquaTube is the only toilet paper roll tube one can flush down the toilet. The biologically degradable product is also recyclable and offers an alternative method to consumers to get rid of toilet paper roll tubes. Vertical LED on-shelf communicators and horizontal shelf signs were provided by Win-Store to call attention to the innovations. From the Domestos portfolio toiler cleaning gel, Domestos ATTAX rim blocks and rotating toilet block Domestos TURBO were all present on the shelves of the Future Store. On ICO’s display ‘customers’ could see hygienic stationery, developed for places such as pharmacies where many people use the same pen. These products are covered with special material containing antibacterial silver ion. STI Petőfi Printing House placed a special double-sided totem pole in the Future Store, to call visitors’ attention to new cardboard product line Stiletto: these products are special because shoppers passing by see movement on them due to the change of perspective, but in reality there is no movement. Win-Store’s Digital Mini Info Desk can be used to strengthen consumer loyalty and to print out coupons. Despite its small size the desk can manage 5 functions and can be decorated tailored to partners’ needs. Tap-x complex facilitates integration with social media but this simple system also combines diverse services – loyalty card, point collection, coupon book, payment, voucher, etc. – using the latest NFC technology, in the form of a simple sticker, which shoppers can put on their mobile phones or any other object they want. Wanzl’s cash register information system uses sound and light to signal which checkout is about to open. The system makes constant monitoring possible through an office connection and the management can react to events instantly.
