Magazine: Restaurant Manager of the Year

Balázs Csapody, owner of Kistücsök restaurant in Balatonszemes was named as Restaurant Manager of the Year by the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI). Mr Csapody thinks that Kistücsök has made the region’s gastronomy a bit trendier, calling attention to the products of farmers and winemakers from Somogy County and the Lake Balaton region. In his view the restaurant and the region’s tourism can only develop hand in hand. The kitchen of Kistücsök is characterised by professionalism, the chef is the owner’s brother-in-law László Jáhni, with whom they go on study trips abroad, visiting restaurants and participating in competitions.
