Magazine: Auchan: improving results
In 2014 Auchan Magyarország Kft.’s gross turnover was HUF 326 billion – realised by 19 stores and 16 petrol stations.
The company’s earnings (EBITDA) rose to HUF 8.5 billion last year, improving by 52 percent from the base period. Auchan Hungary cut operating costs by 3.6 percent. For the second year in a row the company was self-financing, investing HUF 4.8 billion in development in 2014. The number of customers grew by 2 million and reached 42 million. An Auchan Loyalty Card was launched on 3 October 2014, which customers can also use at Auchan petrol stations since 9 March 2015. Currently Auchan sells 4,400 private label products in Hungary, from which 1,300 are groceries. This year the chain plans to put 800 new PL products into circulation. 17-year-old Auchan Hungary opened its 17th petrol station in Debrecen in May 2015.Related news
