According to Márton Elek, co-organiser of the Great Wine Test and Wine Network’s director of strategy, in the last two years Hungarian started drinking better wines, therefore the sum they spent on wine also increased. Almost 40,000 people filled out the questionnaire that revealed: the average wine buyer pays HUF 1,053 for a bottle. Back in 2012 this sum was only HUF 750. 20 percent of respondents drink wine once a week, while 30 percent has wine several times a week. /
