Magazine: Fastcasual does well in Europe too
Fastcasual is one of the fastest developing segments of the restaurant business in the western world. Facts support this trend now in Europe as well: according to German data published in March, the average growth in the turnover of the TOP 100 German restaurants was 3.1 percent in 2012, but the growth rate of the 14 fastcasual restaurants featured on the list was 13.5 percent. Vapiano, Marché and von Allworden were the best performers among them.
