Madosz president: good tobacco crop is expected this year
Slightly better quality tobacco crop is expected this season compared to the previous years – the President of the Hungarian National Association of Tobacco Growers (MADOSZ) told MTI on Thursday.
Bényei Illés said that compared to 2015, the two purchasers, the Szolnok-based Dofer Dohányfermentáló Zrt. and the Nyíregyháza-based ULT Magyarország Zrt. contracted with the producers for more than a thousand hectares less area in 2016. Last year, crop was harvested from 4418 hectares, this year valid contract is for 3366 hectares. (MTI)
