Success in Luxembourg
The meeting for Ministers of Agriculture, held in Luxembourg in the beginning of June ended with positive decisions for Hungarian producers. As Ádám Ficsor Ádám, under secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture has told us, more subsidies will be available for the sales co-operatives of producers (TÉSZ) in the future. Community subsidies proportionate to revenues will increase from 4,1 per cent to 4,6 per cent. A subsidy of EUR 230 per hectares for a maximum area of 1700 hectares will be available for producers of berries in Hungary for the next five years. Subsidies for producers of tomatoes will also remain available.
