EIU Survey: Singapore is the world's most expensive city, Budapest is not in the first hundred
According to the results of the Economist Intelligence Unit's annual report on the world's 133 expensive cities, Singapore retained its first place for the third year in a row.
The basket of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) includes 160 items; food, drink, clothing, household supplies and personal care items, rent, transport, utility bills, private schools, domestic help and recreational costs to build up an idea of how much it costs to live in a place. Budapest is on the 107th place on the list, three places lower than in the previous ranking. (MTI, Kertész Róbert)
