London analysts: Easter can bring high retail sales
According to London financial analysts, the UK retail trade is expected to see high traffic on the long Easter weekend and the week after. Long-term forecasts, however, continue to be pessimistic, mainly due to the stalemate in the process of the British EU membership (Brexit).
According to a forecast of the Center for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), one of the most renowned financial and economic analysts in London published on Saturday, British consumers are expected to spend 11.5 billion pounds (nearly 4,300 billion forints) in stores during the Easter week, which is an increase of 8.5 percent, compared to the rain soaked Easter last year.
