Lidl’s wine export grew by 20 percent
Lidl Hungary sold 14.9 million bottles of Hungarian wine and from this quantity 7 million bottles were purchased in Lidl stores abroad. This was revealed at the Lidl Wine Expo Hungary, where 366 wines from 21 wine regions were showcased for Lidl’s European sourcing managers. At the opening ceremony of the event Sándor Font, president of the Hungarian Parliament’s agriculture committee told: the prestige of Hungarian wines grew considerably in both Hungary and in Europe. Winemakers are strategic partners of the government. //
