Cutted off beef heads on the demonstration of dairy producers

A dozen cutted off beef heads were taken in front of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the Thursday dairy demonstration, where dairy farmers protested against the
lowest ever 55 HUF purchase price.

The dairy farmers demonstrated at multiple locations of the country to draw attention to the situation deemed unsatisfactory.
The dairy farmers are embittered, because at the end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008 the purchase price of milk was around 95 HUF per liter, now it is 55-60 HUF. The cost per liter is about 75-85 HUF. The slaughter of animals has begun, so for the next year 30 percent less dairy cows are expected to be in Hungary, as it is now – reports Origo.
