Post News 21 December 2011 Central/South America hotel pipeline for November 2011
The Central/South America hotel development pipeline comprises 196 hotels totalling 28,958 rooms, according to the November 2011 STR Global Construction Pipeline Report.
Among the countries in the region, Panama reported the largest expected growth (64.4 percent) if all 7,593 rooms in the country's total active pipeline open. Other countries to report significant growth include: Paraguay (+16.2 percent with 300 rooms); Colombia (+11.1 percent with 2,056 rooms); Costa Rica (+7.4 percent with 1,306 rooms); Brazil (+7.3 percent with 12,775 rooms); and El Salvador (+7.3 percent with 200 rooms).
