Kopint-Tárki revised its GDP growth forecast for this year downwards
Kopint-Tárki has revised its GDP growth forecast for this year down to 6.1 percent from 6.8 percent indicated in the autumn, CEO Palócz Éva announced at the online presentation of the research institute’s winter business report on Wednesday.
He said their forecast includes a significant increase in consumption and investment, but at the same time expects a dramatic deterioration in the foreign trade balance.
The inflation rate is higher than the 5.1 percent forecast by the central bank, and is expected to be 5.5 percent in 2021, according to the institute’s calculations. (MTI)
