LED innovation can strengthen domestic agriculture

Hungarian-developed LED technology offers a solution to the energy efficiency challenges of agriculture, reducing lighting costs by up to a third.

The system of Ledium Kft. provides stable, season-independent lighting conditions for plants, which is especially beneficial in the winter months. Tests by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Grain Research Institute and other institutions have also confirmed the advantages of LEDs. The technology can also be used for indoor green spaces and livestock farms. According to Csaba Mesterházy, founder of Ledium, the appropriate light spectrum can also increase the nutrient content of plants.
