Not so bad…
ACNielsen has turned to the consumers to find out what they expect to be the effects of the restrictive government measures. Well, consumers who believe quality is more important than price are still in majority, though only by 1 per cent. Only consumers of status „E” display definite sensitivity to prices. Three out of five people believe, they will have to cut their overall spending, but they intend to save money on clothing, rather than food. Most of the people who are uncertain about their future prospects are status „B” consumers. The largest part of consumers interviewed intend to choose cheaper products in the future, but there were only 2 per cent who said, they would spend less money on food. According to ACNielsen, discount chains will benefit most from austerity, domestic chains will not be too unhappy, while hyper markets will be the least satisfied.
