Visually impaired people can take part in the harvest at the Tokaj wine region
Blind and partially sighted people can take part in the harvest on Saturday in the historic Tokaj wine region, thanks to a unique initiative.
The program is organized by the First Lions Club of Miskolc in the vineyard of the Disznókő winery. Barkóczi István, the club's president noted that the according to the records of the Hungarian National Federation of the Blind and Visually Impaired, more than 40 thousand people are living in Hungary with severe eye damages, but the total number of visually impaired people – including the poorly sighted as well – is almost three times more.
